How much can I lift after hysterectomy and bladder prolapse surgery?
I had surgery 4 week ago to fix a bladder prolapse, my gyno has told me that I can't lift anymore than 5kgs for the rest of my life. I would just like to know if this is true, because I have a 1 year old that I need to lift into her car seat, cot and the bath.

Can I suggest you seek advice from your treating GP, as prolapse may have happened for various reasons.
If heavy lifting was the cause, then, due to the weakening of your Pelvic Floor Muscles and repair of same, it would be advisable to avoid heavy lifting.
In terms of lifting your 1 year old, I would ask you’re treating Specialist at your next post-operative visit .
