Will pelvic floor exercises help improve my bladder control?

I had my last baby just under a year ago and after i had him the first few days i had no control over my bladder! I now have a little control but i have to use liners 24/7 otherwise i find i have a bad smell and am very wet from leakage.

Our expert answered:

Hello Tamara,
Yes pelvic floor exercises work to strengthen the muscles which support your bladder. This is the recommended course of action from doctors, physiotherapists and continence advisors. Like all muscles continued exercise will only make your pelvic floor stronger, so the key is consistency and regularity.
