Can tampons contribute to weakening of pelvic floor muscles, causing leakage?

Asked by Anonymous about 1 year ago

Our expert answered:

Hello Twahira,
Thanks for your enquiry.
No, tampons will not contribute to weakening of pelvic floor muscles. Causes of weak pelvic floor muscles are due to many other factors such as childbirth, obesity, injury, and overactive bladder etc.
FYI Poise products can be used for menstrual use as well as light bladder leakage.
