Why after my period do i experience bladder leakage but it only lasts for one week?
Our expert answered:
Hello,
Thanks for your enquiry. There are a lot of reports of LBL occuring to women after menstruation.
During the menstrual cycle women secrete different levels of hormones. Usually before your period your uterus becomes quite heavy with an increase in size of blood vessels/proliferation of the Uterine lining. This could lead to pressure on the Bladder and the Pelvic Floor Muscles.
Best bet would be speaking with your doctor about this. The doctor will be able to assess your condition and recommend the most appropriate course of action specifically for you.
